Daniel Black

Daniel Adebayo a.k.a Daniel Black was born on November 12, 1984. He developed a passion for music at the age of 9. Growing up in the D.C./Maryland area he grew to love a popular sound in the city known as "Go-Go" music. As he continued to listen to Go-Go and different types of music, he was inspired by bands and artists such as Chuck Brown, Backyard Band, Mint Condition, Stevie Wonder and many others. He began playing in many bands and acts throughout his high school years. Because of more listening, voice lessons, and practice by the young man, many people began to grow to love the different styles and melodic harmonies that were in each of his performances.  From August 2003- May 2007, Daniel Black attended Clark Atlanta University and received a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in television production. At home during his summers, he would perform with different artists as well as with The Truth Band at various locations in the D.C Metro area. In 2007, as Fusion the Band began to grow, Black became a vocalist and background singer. Raised as a middle child by his Nigerian/Ghanaian family, Black was taught that hard work, perseverance, and patience were key skills that were needed for survival in life.  With his many talents Daniel Black remembers to stay humble and continue to work hard.
